Network & Colloquium
A key objective of the Global Leaders Fellowship Programme is to develop a strong network of scholar-practioners that will serve fellows long after they’ve left Oxford and Princeton. To this end, every year the programme organizes two large events to spur the productive exchange of ideas and create an enduring sense of community.
All current and previous fellows are invited to the GLF Colloquium held annually in May, where fellows have the opportunity to meet one another, exchange ideas, and engage with leading academics and policymakers in an intimate and informal setting. Every October, current fellows based in both Oxford and Princeton convene for the annual GLF Workshop, at which fellows present their work-in-progress and receive critical and informed feedback from each other and established academics. These two events ensure not only that fellows are able to profit from the wealth of intellectual resources available at the two universities, but also build a close collegiality and invaluable professional network.
In addition to fellows and Oxford and Princeton academics serving on the GLF executive committee, speakers at previous Colloquia and Workshops include distinguished policymakers such as Henrique Meirelles (then Governor of Brazil’s Central Bank), Lord Malloch Brown (former Administrator of UNDP) and Stephen Jennings (co-founder of Renaissance Capital), as well as notable academics such as Harold James, Nannerl Keohane, Kalypso Nicolaidis, Duncan Snidal, and Xue Lan.
