Oxford-Princeton Global Leaders Fellow, Dr. Maria A. Gwynn, was invited to speak to top-ranked officials of the Paraguayan Government in Asuncion, Paraguay as part of a training workshop on negotiation.

She complemented the Harvard Project on Negotiation with views based on her own research work, and applied them to the particular case of the upcoming Renegotiation of the Itaipu Treaty. Participants included Paraguayan Ministers and officials from the ministries of Foreign Affairs, Energy, Public Works, Justice, Labour, Industry and Commerce; the full Board of Directors of the Itaipu Binational Entity; shareholders of this entity; National Administration of Electricity; and representatives of the Congress (House of Representatives and Senate).

Highlights from her talk were published in a nation-wide circulation newspaper that can be accessed (in Spanish).
