Emily Jones awarded over £44,000 in KE grants

GEG's Director Emily Jones and researchers from our flagship research programme ‘Developing Countries Navigating Global Banking Standards’ attended the biennial African Studies Association UK Conference in Birmingham 11-13 September 2018. Florence Dafe and Rebecca Engebretsen organised two panels examining the political economy of financial development in Africa. Colleagues presented papers on the politics of banking in Tanzania, Kenya, and Angola, and on the adoption of a financial inclusion agenda in Kenya and Nigeria.
