GEG Director Ngaire Woods joined world leaders from business, government, academia and civil society at the annual World Economic Forum meeting in Davos last week.

The theme of this year's meeting was, “The Reshaping of the World: Consequences for Society, Politics and Business.” While at Davos Ngaire participated in a number of public and private events, meetings and interviews. As moderator of a session on “The Reshaping of Globalization”, she asked panellists to consider what challenges and transformations are reshaping the integration of the global economy. In a Forum Debate on Money and Influence, she asked participants if, as income inequality rises, money politics is undermining democracy (watch video here).

She also was interviewed by Mishal Hussein for BBC Radio 4’s Today programme and joined a live BBC World Debate on “The Future of US Power: Syria, shutdown, Snowden and surveillance: has America lost touch with the world?”.
