Dr Pritish Behuria, Research Associate

Pritish Behuria is an LSE Fellow in the Department of International Development at The London School of Economics and Political Science. He previously worked as a Senior Teaching Fellow and a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Department of Development Studies and the Centre for International Studies and Diplomacy at SOAS, University of London. He holds a PhD in Development Studies and a MSc in International Politics from SOAS, University of London.

He is also a Research Associate at the Effective States and Inclusive Development Research Centre in The Global Development Institute at The University of Manchester. He has worked as a consultant for the Commonwealth Secretariat, the United Nations Development Programme and international development donor agencies on the political economy of governance, public sector reforms and productive sector policies.

His research focuses on the political economy of development (particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia). His research has been published in African Affairs, The Journal of Modern African Studies, Review of African Political Economy and The Journal of Eastern African Studies.
