On 18–19 September, the ClimateSouth project held a workshop in New Delhi as part of its ‘Strengthening Non-State Climate Action in the Global South’ project. The project is led by the African Centre for Technology Studies (ACTS, Kenya), the Blavatnik School of Government at Oxford University (UK), the German Development Institute (DIE, Germany) and The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI, India), with financial support from the Volkswagen Foundation, the Wellcome Trust, and the Riksbankens Jubileumsfond.

The workshop brought together stakeholders relevant to non-state climate action in India, as well as presenting the opportunity to discuss transnational climate initiatives. The insights from the workshop were considered in light of the upcoming UN Climate Action Summit in New York.
