Have an idea to change the world? The Global Challenges Prize 2017 — titled, A New Shape: Remodelling Global Cooperation — will award a prize sum of USD 5 million to the best ideas for new forms for global decision–making. We are looking for ideas that could help the  world address the urgent and interlinked threats of climate change, major environmental damage, politically motivated violence and extreme poverty.

This information session will be led by Ms. Malini Mehra. Malini joined GLOBE International (Global Legislators Organisation) as chief executive in November 2014. She comes to GLOBE following a distinguished 30-year international career in sustainable development in multiple sectors: civil society, business, government and the United Nations. As founder and CEO of the Indian non-profit, Centre for Social Markets, from 2000-2013, Malini helped pioneer the sustainable business movement in India and the diaspora. With a background in both development and environment Malini has led global campaigns at NGOs such as Oxfam and Friends of the Earth International, as well as on human rights, trade and investment. Malini also served in the UK government, where she led for the UK on international sustainable development partnerships, and initiated the UK’s pioneering Sustainable Development Dialogues with China, India, Brazil, South Africa and Mexico.
