Dominic's talk provides an insider’s guide to the publishing process, suggesting the best combination of strategy and tactics for placing book projects with the most appropriate publisher, and offering a host of practical tips and advice along the way. He will offer an insight into the current state of scholarly publishing in the social sciences and humanities, the many and varied challenges being faced by publishers, and likely future developments across the sector.

Dominic was educated at University College, London, the University of Exeter, and Nuffield College, Oxford he has been publishing books at OUP since 1993. In addition to commissioning one of the world’s leading lists in political science he oversees a great deal of the Press’s academic publishing in Economics & Finance, Business & Management, Religion & Bibles, and Classics & Archaeology. He recently chaired the Political Studies Association’s ‘Reaching Out’ Commission.
