Dr Ali Hasanain, GLF 2014-16


Ali Hasanain is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) in Pakistan, and was a Global Leaders Fellow (2014-16) at the Global Economic Governance Programme. His research studies how Information and Communications Technology (ICT) can be applied in underdeveloped countries to improve governance and market outcomes. He also studies how individuals’ personal characteristics mediate the success of this process. In addition, Ali has advised the Government of Punjab, the World Bank, and the Global Development Network on various public policy issues. Ali received his PhD in Economics from George Mason University in 2010.
