On 4-5 May 2015, Global Leaders Fellow Camila Villard Duran participated in the Think 20 (T20) Ottawa Conference on international monetary and financial cooperation convened by the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) and The Economic Policy Research Foundation of Turkey (TEPAV).

Camila Villard Duran presented her recommendations on how to strengthen the role of the IMF's special drawing rights (SDR) in a reformed international monetary system. Specifically, she discussed the role of emerging countries' currencies in the SDR basket and the future of the Fund's SDR Department.

Think 20 is a network of premier think tanks from the G20 economies that acts as an "ideas bank" for G20 policymakers, generating solutions to help the G20 deliver concrete and sustainable policy measures.

The aim of this T20 meeting was to elaborate recommendations for the Group of 20 (G20) summit in Antalya, Turkey in November of this year. The summary of the meeting is available below.
